Caroline is a native of Decatur, AL. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and in Spanish from Harding University, then received her Master of Science in Emphasis in Bilingual Speech-Language Pathology from Texas Christian University. She completed the Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology degree at Northwestern University in 2019. She has extensive clinical experience in the post-acute rehabilitation setting, and has also worked in acute care, inpatient rehab, and skilled nursing facilities. Her passion is guiding patients with acquired brain injuries in their recovery journey by working on what matters to them. She makes therapy both functional and fun by forming positive relationships with patients and their family members. After all, brain injury recovery takes a village.
Caroline holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), is a member of ASHA, and is licensed by the Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. She is also a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) through the Brain Injury Association of America.
In her spare time, Caroline enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and family, eating Mexican food and ice cream, doing barre classes, and walking her goldendoodle, Daisy.
